A DocuSeal alternative for agent workflows

DocuSeal is open source, can run on your own server, and has a clear $0.20 per document API price. docuinked is closed source and hosted, and its reason to exist is enforcing human approval for agents.

Where they're the better choice

  • You want to run it yourself. Self-hosting is the main thing we can't offer.
  • You need audits or EU hosting today. DocuSeal claims certifications and offers an EU cloud. We have neither.
  • You need signer ID checks or EU qualified signatures. It resells both.
  • You want a known unit price you can put in a model right now.
  • You generate from DOCX or HTML. We take finished PDFs only.

Where docuinked is different

  • The approval rule is built into the send. An agent can ask, and only a named person can release it.
  • A neutral host can matter. In a dispute, a self-hosted log is one the operator could have changed. Some buyers prefer an outside party, though you should weigh that against everything above.
  • The draft hash ties approval to exact bytes. See approvals.

Common questions

Is docuinked open source?

No. It is a closed, hosted service. If open code or self-hosting matters most to you, choose DocuSeal or Documenso.

Is docuinked built on DocuSeal?

No. It is separate software written in Rust, and it contains no DocuSeal code.

Which costs less for 1,000 documents a month?

At list price, DocuSeal is about $200 for the documents plus a seat. docuinked is $0 during the beta, but its 100 live sends a day cap would limit you, and later prices aren't set.
