A Documenso alternative for agent workflows

Documenso is an open source signing platform with flat plans and a SOC 2 report. docuinked is a closed, hosted API that makes human approval of agent sends a hard server rule.

Where they're the better choice

  • You want open code or self-hosting. We offer neither.
  • You want a flat bill with no document meter. The Teams plan is simple to budget for.
  • You need a SOC 2 report today. We don't have one.
  • You want white label. It is on the Platform plan.
  • You want a known user base. Documenso reported 340+ paying customers and 34,000+ users at the end of 2025.

Where docuinked is different

  • One call makes a draft. Signers and fields go in with the document, which suits an agent that loses context between calls.
  • Hosted MCP with no package, so cloud agents can connect.
  • Agents are held to approval by the server, not by the client.

Common questions

Does Documenso charge per document for API use?

Its pricing page lists no per-document fee. Its plans describe Individual as personal use, Teams as for automation, and Platform as unlimited.

Can I self-host docuinked like Documenso?

No, and we don't plan to in the beta. A hosted service is what lets the approval rule sit outside the agent's reach.

Which suits a small team with no agents?

Documenso, most likely. A flat plan with open code and an audit report is a strong offer if agents aren't part of your flow.
