Best white-label e-signature

For a platform that wants signing under its own brand, Documenso Platform at $250 a month and DocuSeal at $0.20 a document are the clearest published offers, the big names gate embedding behind higher tiers, and docuinked offers branding, embedded signing and sub-accounts at $0.75 per completed document with no platform fee, or Personal at $9 a month for one account, with custom domains still to come.

What white-label means for a platform

A platform is software that serves other businesses: a property tool, a staffing app, a clinic system. White-label signing means its customers' signers see the customer's name and logo, not the e-signature vendor's. Four parts make it work:

  1. Branding on the signing page and emails.
  2. Embedded signing, so the signer stays inside the platform's own site.
  3. Per-customer accounts, so each customer's documents and branding stay apart.
  4. Your own domains for signing links and email.

Most vendors offer some of these, at different price tiers.

The vendors in short

Documenso Platform. A flat $250 a month with white-label embedding and unlimited users. Open source, so you can also inspect the code.

DocuSeal. Pay per completed document at $0.20, with embedding on Pro. Good when volume is uneven across your customers.

BoldSign and SignWell. Branding and embedding reachable on smaller plans, with published per-document prices.

Docusign and Dropbox Sign. The names signers know best. Embedding sits on higher tiers, and Docusign's is custom priced.

docuinked. This release adds the platform pieces:

  • Account branding. Name, logo and accent colour on signer pages and emails. You can remove docuinked branding.
  • Embedded signing. The signing page loads in an iframe on sites you allow, and posts browser events so your page knows when a signer finishes.
  • Sub-accounts. One account per customer, run by your one key, each with its own branding and documents.
  • What stays docuinked's. The seal and the evidence certificate name docuinked as the party that sealed the file, whatever the branding.

Two pieces are coming, not here yet: custom signing domains and custom email sending domains. Until then, signing emails show your customer's name but send from our address. See platforms.

Where others are better

  • You need your own domains on links and email now. Ours are coming.
  • You need a contract price for next year. Documenso, DocuSeal, BoldSign and SignWell publish one. We haven't set ours.
  • You sell into buyers who ask for SOC 2. We have no audit report yet.
  • You need SMS codes or ID checks for your customers' signers. Several vendors resell these. Ours are coming.
  • You need high volume at launch. Our beta cap is 100 live sends a day per account. Write to us if that blocks you.

Common questions

Can my customers' signers tell which e-signature vendor I use?

With docuinked branding removed, the page and email show your customer's name. The email still sends from our address until custom sending domains arrive, and the sealed PDF's certificate names docuinked as the sealing party.

Is embedding an iframe safe for signing?

It is safe when the vendor only allows the page inside sites you list, which is how docuinked works. Signing on any other site is refused by the browser. Each signer still goes through the same consent and evidence steps as the hosted page.

How should a platform price signing to its own customers?

That is your call. Most platforms either fold it into their plan or pass a per-document charge through. Know your vendor's unit cost first, and remember that our prices after the beta are not set.

Do my customers need a docuinked login?

No. In docuinked a sub-account has no users. Your platform reaches it with your key, so your customers never sign in to us.
