# Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of docuinked, a service of Rook Industries, Inc. docuinked is in public beta. Please read the parts on what we are not.

## 1. Who we are

"docuinked", "we" and "us" mean Rook Industries, Inc., 30 N Gould St Ste R, Sheridan WY 82801. "You" means the person or company with an account. A signer who only receives a document is not a customer, and is covered by the signing page and our [privacy notice](/legal/privacy).

## 2. What the service is

docuinked is a software tool. You use it to prepare documents, send them, collect electronic signatures and keep a record of what happened. It is designed to support the US ESIGN Act and UETA. We make no promise that any document or signature will be accepted or upheld by anyone, in any place.

## 3. What we are not

We are a tool, not a party to your documents. We don't give legal advice, and nothing on the site or in the service is legal advice. We don't decide whether an electronic signature suits a document, and we don't check that a signer is who they say they are beyond the steps the record shows. We are not a notary. Please ask your own lawyer about your documents.

## 4. Beta

The service is in public beta. It may change, be limited, or stop. It may have errors and downtime. Beta hosting is not a certified data center. Don't rely on the service as your only copy of anything. Your first 5 completed live documents are free. After that you can choose Personal, at $9 a month or $99 a year with unlimited completed live documents for normal use and fair use of 500 completed documents per plan year, or pay $0.75 per completed live document, billed monthly. Charges go to the card you add in Settings, Billing, and you are never charged without adding a card and agreeing there. Past the fair-use limit, sending pauses until you switch to pay per document. Accounts opened before November 8, 2026 are not charged before December 8, 2026. Test documents and signers never cost anything. We give at least 30 days' notice before any price change.

## 5. Your duties

You decide what you send and to whom. You are responsible for:

- having the right to send each document and each person's details
- deciding whether e-signing fits the document and the law that applies
- any consent or disclosure the law requires of you, and any paper copies a signer is entitled to
- keeping records for as long as the law requires
- your API keys and anything done with them, including by software or AI agents you connect
- reviewing drafts before you approve them

If you approve a draft that an agent prepared, that approval is yours.

## 6. Excluded documents

Don't use the service for documents excluded by law or that need more than an e-signature. These include wills, codicils and testamentary trusts, adoption, divorce and other family law matters, court orders and filings, notices of utility shutoff, foreclosure, eviction or default on a primary home, notices cancelling health or life insurance, product recall notices, documents that must travel with hazardous materials, and anything that must be notarized or witnessed. This list isn't complete, and rules differ by place. See the [acceptable use policy](/legal/acceptable-use).

## 7. Your content

Your documents stay yours. You give us permission to store, process, stamp and deliver them to run the service, and nothing more. We don't sell them, and we don't use them to train AI models.

## 8. The record

The evidence record shows what our system logged. It doesn't prove more than that. Email-based signing shows control of a mailbox at a moment in time. Nobody at docuinked can change a finished document. To correct one, send a new one.

## 9. Warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. That includes any warranty of fitness for a purpose, of accuracy, and that the service will be uninterrupted.

## 10. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, data or goodwill. Our total liability for all claims is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100. While the service is free, that is $100.

## 11. Indemnity

You agree to cover our reasonable costs from claims caused by your documents, your misuse of the service, or your breach of these terms.

## 12. Legal requests

If we get a legal request about your data, we will send the requester to you where we can, and tell you unless the law stops us. Send legal process to legal@docuinked.com.

## 13. Ending

You can stop at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk. Export your documents and evidence before you leave. If we shut the service down, we will give advance notice so you can export.

## 14. Changes and law

We may update these terms and will post the date above. Wyoming law governs these terms. Questions: legal@docuinked.com.
