# Zapier e-signature integration

You can reach docuinked from a Zap today with Webhooks by Zapier. There is no listed docuinked app in Zapier yet. That is coming soon.

## Recipe: new form entry to a contract

1. Pick your trigger, such as a new form entry or a new CRM deal.
2. Add **Webhooks by Zapier**, then **Custom Request**.
3. Set Method to `POST` and URL to `https://docuinked.com/v1/documents`.
4. Add headers: `Authorization` as `Bearer di_test_...`, `Content-Type` as `application/json`, and `Idempotency-Key` from a stable value such as the entry ID.
5. Paste this into Data and map your fields in.

Zapier can replay a step. With the `Idempotency-Key` set, a replay returns the first result and sends nothing new.

## Recipe: signed document to your next step

Start a second Zap with **Webhooks by Zapier**, **Catch Hook**. Register the hook URL with `create_webhook`. Add a filter that continues only when `type` is `document.completed`. Then add a Custom Request step to `GET https://docuinked.com/v1/documents/` plus the `document` value, and carry on to your drive, CRM or chat app.

A Catch Hook can't check our signature by itself. If the next steps do anything sensitive, add a Code step and use the check on the [webhooks page](/docs/webhooks).

## Common questions

### Why isn't docuinked in the Zapier app directory?

Zapier lists apps after they leave invite-only testing and pass review, and we are still in beta. The native app is coming soon, with triggers for signed and completed documents.

### Can a Zap send to real people straight away?

Only with a live key set to "Sends directly". With "Needs my approval", the Zap gets back an `approval_url`, and a person approves each draft before anyone is emailed.

### Can I test a Zap without emailing anyone?

Yes. Use a test key and the signer `sign@test.docuinked.com`. The document signs itself, so you can check the whole Zap in a few minutes.
