# A SignWell alternative for agent workflows

SignWell is a strong, simple choice: low flat prices, unlimited paid documents, and 25 free API documents a month. docuinked only wins if you need a server rule between an agent and a real send.

## Side by side

| | SignWell | docuinked |
|---|---|---|
| Free tier | Free, 3 documents a month | First 5 completed documents free, then Personal at $9 a month |
| Paid plans | Light $10 a month on annual billing. Business $30, 3 senders. Enterprise custom | Personal $9 a month or $99 a year, Team $15 a seat a month. Or $0.75 per completed document |
| Document limits | Unlimited on paid plans | Beta limits apply |
| API price | 25 documents a month free with a card on file, then from $0.85 down to $0.20 or lower | Included |
| Test mode | `test_mode: true`, not billed | Free. Test keys |
| Compliance | SOC 2 Type II and HIPAA BAA on Light and up, 21 CFR Part 11 controls on Business | None yet |
| MCP | Listed on all plans. A local npm package | Hosted server, one URL |
| Agent approval on the server | Not stated | Yes |

## Where they're the better choice

- **You want a low, stable bill.** $10 a month for unlimited documents is hard to argue with.
- **You need paperwork.** SOC 2 and a BAA at that price are a real offer, and we have neither.
- **You use Zapier a lot.** SignWell cites Zapier's 9,000+ apps, and our native app is still to come.
- **You want a long record.** SignWell says it has seen more than 17 million documents signed.

## Where docuinked is different

- **Hosted MCP.** A cloud agent can't run a local npm package. Ours is a URL.
- **Agent keys can't send live documents without a person,** whatever the client does.
- **No card until your sixth document,** and test keys never need one.

## Common questions

### Which is better for a solo operator?

SignWell, most likely, unless you are building agents. The Light plan is cheap, stable and made for a person sending documents.

### Does SignWell have a test mode?

Yes. Its API takes `test_mode: true`, and those documents aren't billed.

### Do either of them cover health data?

SignWell lists a HIPAA BAA on Light and up. docuinked has none, so don't use it for protected health information.
