# About docuinked

docuinked is the signing layer built by Rook Industries, Inc. It puts e-signature inside agents, workflows and other people's products, and it keeps one line hard: software prepares, a person approves, and only the signer signs.

## What we believe

Signing is a human act. Software can draft, fill, route and remind. It should not be able to agree to something on a person's behalf by accident, or because a hidden line in a PDF told it to.

Most e-signature tools were built for a person at a desk. Their safety comes from that person looking at the screen. Put an agent in that seat and the safety is gone. Our answer is to move the rule to the server, where a prompt can't reach it.

We also believe the record matters more than the signature image. When a signature is disputed, what counts is being able to explain, step by step, how it got on the page. So we built around the evidence.

## What we are not

We are a tool, not a party to your documents. We don't give legal advice. We don't decide whether e-signing fits a given document. We are not a notary, and we don't check government ID. If you need those, use a provider who does.

Read how we handle [security](/security), see the [terms](/legal/terms), or follow the [changelog](/changelog).
